Casco Bay Arena will open for its 7th Season in November.  After a COVID-imposed hiatus, we are excited to announce that our HS Boys Preseason Clinic is BACK–November 8 -19, 2021.  The Clinic will be run by Kent Hulst, with skilled and professional goalie coaching for each session.  Kent Hulst is a Canadian native selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 4th round in 1986.  Kent enjoyed a 12-year professional playing career.  He has spent countless hours developing players from mites to pros over the course of the past 20 + years.

This program will follow our Annual HS Preseason model, and will be a great opportunity for players to get in “hockey shape” and ready themselves for the high school season and varsity tryouts.  During the first 60 minutes of each session, the players will work on power skating and skill development, and goalie-specific training.  The last 60 minutes will consist of small area games and scrimmages.  Fridays will be used for intra-group scrimmages.

There is a limit of 24 skaters and 4 goalies per session.  The rosters fill up quickly, and we had a waiting list for the past few season.  This roster limit will not be increased.  The cost is $250 per skater & $125 per goaltender (10 hours of ice with professional instruction).  Goalies are allowed to attend ALL sessions if they are interested.  All players must be registered with USA Hockey for the 2021-2022 season.  Masks must be worn in all common areas within the arena itself, including the lobby and locker rooms.  Masking while on the ice will be required if the Maine Principals Association requires it for winter sports athletes.

Group I will skate on Mondays, Wednesdays from 3:20-5:20 pm, and Fridays from 3:10-4:10 pm (scrimmages).

Group II will skate on Tuesdays, Thursdays from 3:20-5:20 pm, and Fridays from 4:20 – 5:20 pm (scrimmages).

If a player has a conflict due to their fall sports team reaching the State finals, they may opt out of the first week and will only be charged $125.00 ($65 for goalies) for the second week of sessions.  Those players will be charged full rate, and then credited ½ back once the conflict issue is known.

For questions about the clinic itself, please contact Kent Hulst.
