An exciting new partnership!

Mariners/CBHA Partnership

Portland, ME – October 15th, 2021 – The Maine Mariners Hockey Club and Casco Bay Hockey Association (CBHA) are pleased to announce our new partnership. This is a great opportunity for Maine’s largest youth hockey organization and Maine’s Professional ECHL hockey team to work together to provide positive experiences and opportunities and grow the game of hockey here in Maine. What does this mean for The Marine Mariners and for CBHA:

  • Over 20 hours of ice to be utilized by CBHA at the Cross Insurance Arena over the 21-22 hockey season.
  • Over 300 flex tickets to be distributed to Casco Bay Families at no cost and an enthusiastic fan base for The Maine Mariners.
  • Exclusive offers from The Maine Mariners to be delivered to Casco Bay Families.
  • CBHA Maine Mariners player of the week. This will be announced weekly on CBHA social media and will include free flex tickets.
  • Youth clinics for CBHA skaters to include current Mariners players and coaches.
This is very exciting for CBHA, having the opportunity to partner with a professional organization like The Maine Mariners is going to allow CBHA to enhance our overall hockey offering for our families. The bonus is now that the Mariner’s are affiliated with the Bruins, our players are going to be able to skate with and play on the same ice as future Bruins players. I expect that this will continue to help hockey grow in the state of Maine.
-- Matt Lambert, President of Casco Bay Hockey Association
This is excellent news for both youth hockey and the Mariners. Having the Mariners involved in the hockey community will help grow the game at the grass root level. It will create more excitement for our awesome game and hopefully instill the passion in kids to be the next great hockey players to come out of Maine. It's also a huge boost to the Mariners' players who will get to interact with the wonderful people of Maine. That sense of belonging will go a long way in attracting the top level ECHL talent to the great city of Portland.
-- Ben Guite, Head Coach of the Maine Mariners
